Start with the official ticket sellers
At the Top is on the United Arab Emirates' list as "Take in the view from At the Top, Burj Khalifa". Dubai's official tourism site, visitdubai.com, sells At the Top tickets through its own booking platform. Three tickets go up the tower: Silver for Levels 124 and 125, Gold, which adds Level 148, and Platinum, which adds the lounge on Levels 152 to 154.
This is a planning guide, not a report of a recent visit. On 25 October 2026 the tower's own ticket sites answered must30's automated visits with a bot check, so the rules and prices below come from Visit Dubai's booking pages, Wikipedia, Wikivoyage and the ticket platform Tiqets, read on 26 October 2026. Hours and prices change with the season, so check both in the booking calendar before you pay. This guide does not say which times are sold out.
Why it sells out
Every ticket is for one date and one time: Visit Dubai's listings say tickets are valid only for the selected date and time. Wikivoyage warns that at peak times tickets can sell out several days ahead, and strongly recommends booking online before you go. In must30's reading, a sold-out screen usually means your time is gone, not the whole day. None of these sources publishes a daily cap.
The time most people want is sunset. Prices follow peak and off-peak hours that change with the season, and Tiqets says the prime hours around sunset cost more and that popular slots can sell out days in advance, especially for sunset.
Official options first
- Book an earlier time. Visit Dubai puts the average visit at about an hour and a half, so a slot an hour or two before sunset still gets you the light changing over the city.
- Try another time the same day. Tickets are sold by time slot, so a full afternoon says nothing about the morning or a later slot. Peak and off-peak hours change with the season, so look at the calendar for your own date rather than an old guide.
- Look at Gold. It adds Level 148, 555 metres up, with priority access and fast-track queues, a multilingual guided tour and welcome refreshments of Arabic coffee, sweets and soft drinks. It cost AED 399 on Visit Dubai in October 2026, and its last entry is an hour earlier than Silver's. You get up to 30 minutes on Level 148, then carry on to 124 and 125.
- Look at Platinum. At AED 769 it adds the lounge on Levels 152 to 154, 585 metres up, with fast-track access to every level and canapés and high tea catered by the Armani Hotel. It is a separate ticket type, so its times are worth checking too.
- Check back until the day before. Cancelling at least 24 hours before your slot gets a full refund, and must30's reading is that places come back as people cancel. Inside the last 24 hours the full refund is gone, so that is when this stops helping.
- Consider Sky Views Observatory. Visit Dubai sells it alone or combined with At the Top: a glass lift climbs the Address Sky View hotel to a 46-metre glass floor and a glass slide from Level 53 to Level 52. It is a lower view with the tower in it, not a substitute.
Third-party tickets
Travel platforms also sell timed At the Top tickets and combos. Check which levels are included, the entry time and the cancellation rules, which can differ from Visit Dubai's 24-hour rule. A "sunset ticket" is a timed entry in the dearer hours around sunset, so compare its time and price with the official calendar before you pay extra.
If you book through these links, must30 earns a commission at no extra cost to you.
Timing that helps
Arrive early. Visit Dubai asks you to arrive at least 30 minutes before your booked time, and Tiqets warns that late arrivals may not be admitted. Tickets are collected at the At the Top counter on the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall. By Metro, take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station.
Travel light. Large bags and pushchairs go to the luggage counter, and laptops, tablets, e-cigarettes and sharp objects are not allowed inside. Outside food and drink are not allowed either. Under 3s go free, and under 16s must be with an adult aged 16 or over.
Weather counts. In severe weather the decks may close for safety, and Visit Dubai gives no refunds for weather-related closures.
What not to do
- Do not leave sunset to the last day. Peak slots can sell out days ahead.
- Do not try to cancel on the day. A full refund needs at least 24 hours' notice.
- Do not count on a refund if bad weather shuts the decks.
- Do not turn up on the dot. Arrive 30 minutes before your time.
- Do not bring a laptop or a big bag. They stay at the luggage counter.
- Do not trust an old price or opening time. Peak hours change with the season.
