Start with the official Ticket Store
teamLab Planets, the museum in Toyosu where you walk barefoot through water, is not on Japan's list yet, but it works like the big timed sights: no ticket, no entry. Its official site sends buyers to the teamLab Planets TOKYO Ticket Store, run with DMM.com. The store's help pages name the only other sellers: Lawson Ticket (Loppi), Seven Ticket and Klook. And the museum's FAQ is plain about the door: "Tickets are not sold on-site."
This is a planning guide, not a report of a recent visit. The rules and prices below come from teamlab.art and the official Ticket Store, checked on 25 October 2026. The store's date and time step is part of the purchase flow, which must30 did not enter, so this guide does not say which slots are sold out.
Why it sells out
Every Entrance Pass carries an admission time, and each time has a limited number of places. The rules mention sold-out slots directly: a booking cannot be moved to a date and time that is already sold out. With no sale on site, a full slot means no way in at that time.
Prices also move. The museum uses dynamic pricing, so the adult price starts at ¥3,800 and varies by date. The exhibition is scheduled to run until the end of 2027, a little over a year from the date of this guide.
Official options first
- Look at the Premium Pass. It costs ¥12,000 and has a date but no set admission time, and it lets you skip the entry queue and go straight to the Information Centre. It is sold as a separate ticket type, so it is worth checking when the timed slots you want are gone. It does not let you skip queues inside.
- Check again in the last hours. Official Store tickets can be moved to another date or time up to three times, until 2 hours before their admission time, and must30's reading is that slots do free up as people move their bookings. Refunds are not possible, so nobody gives up a ticket any other way.
- Try the early and late hours. The museum opens at 8:00 and takes its last entry at 21:00, so the day has many slots beyond the obvious late-morning ones.
- Try the other official sellers. Lawson Ticket, Seven Ticket and Klook are named by the Ticket Store. Changes on those tickets follow each seller's rules.
- Consider teamLab Borderless. teamLab's other Tokyo museum, at Azabudai Hills, is permanent, opens from 8:30 and, unlike Planets, also sells tickets on site, for ¥200 more. It also has a Flexible Pass with no set entry time. It is a different set of artworks, not a substitute ticket.
Resale: none on this page
The museum says "Resale of tickets is prohibited, and visitors cannot enter with a ticket purchased through resale." The Ticket Store adds that tickets found resold on ticketing or auction sites are invalidated, cannot be used, moved or shared, and are not refunded. Since the official sellers are the museum's store and the three agencies it names, must30 does not link any other ticket offer here.
Timing that helps
You can arrive late: the museum says you can still enter on the same day during opening hours. The time on the ticket is not a time limit inside, but there may be a queue at the entrance at busy times. Re-entry is not allowed.
Plan for water. You go barefoot, and in some works the water reaches knee height, even for adults. Shorts can be borrowed free of charge, and towels can be rented if your clothes get wet. Some areas have mirrored floors. Children under 13 must enter with a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, and pushchairs stay at the entrance.
The museum is a 3-minute walk from exit 1A of Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line, or 10 minutes from exit 7 of Toyosu Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line.
What not to do
- Do not go to Toyosu without a ticket. Nothing is sold at the door or from machines.
- Do not buy a resold ticket. It can be invalidated and you will not get in.
- Do not wait for a refund. Tickets cannot be cancelled; only the date and time can be changed.
- Do not leave a change to the last minute. Moves close 2 hours before your admission time.
- Do not wear clothes that cannot get wet or roll up. Staff will ask you to change before the next artwork.
- Do not plan on going out and back in. Re-entry is not permitted.
Keep planning
